Step 4. Solder the Male Pin Headers in the PIC Socket

The DRO-350 mates with the DPU-550 via two 14-pin male pin headers.  We will now solder those in place.  Push the headers in from the top side where the PIC used to be.  If they are difficult to push in, then you could have some solder still in the holes and you should recheck them and remove any solder you see.  The fit will be snug but not too difficult.  You can use a small wood block to help push them in place.  Solder the pins from the back side and you are done with this step.
